Formula Enterprises is SCCA's spec open-wheel racing class. The FE2 car is a Van Diemen-built single-seater with a 2.3L Ford engine producing 170 hp. At 1,350 lbs with aerodynamic downforce and slick tires, the FE2 produces cornering forces that exceed most purpose-built sports cars. FE racing is the most accessible path to open-wheel competition in America. The cars are identical, the racing is close, and the skills learned translate directly to higher formulas. Many Skip Barber graduates move to FE as their next step. This is a full race car requiring SCCA competition license, trailer transport, and dedicated racing equipment.
